Hey there, I've been using my 3700x for a few months now. Like many, I noticed the voltages were really high. I've checked various sources and watched some YouTube videos on the subject. People have mixed opinions—some suggest lowering the voltage and setting the clock to a stable value for better temperatures without affecting performance. I've also heard that benchmark tests can be misleading after adjusting the voltage, as they might not accurately reflect real-world conditions. Right now, I'm running my 3700x (x570 ASUS TUF gaming + WiFi) at 1.325 Vcore with all cores at 4.4MHz. My temperatures are low—around 38-46°C when idle with a few open tabs. Under aida 78C, I saw spikes up to 85°C for a brief time. My Cinebench scores have improved after tweaking the voltage and setting all cores to 4.4MHz. Any tips or insights you can share would be really helpful. I'll include my hardware info if I want. Thanks!

These levels are completely typical for Zen 2. Attempting to lower them might do more damage than help. Warning This Reddit thread only becomes relevant once idle surpasses 1.38 V.

Running at 4.4MHz across all cores with a 1.325V core voltage might seem fine, but it could affect CPU health despite good temperature and performance metrics. Double-check before resetting to default settings. Appreciate the info!

Well, it could work. Keeping the static 1.325 VCore might maintain higher voltages than normal, particularly when not actively measuring. If temperatures have fallen and you're reaching 4.4 OC, then it's fine to keep it that way as long as things stay steady. It won't reach the extreme failure point.

The overclock worked well, and I even played a bit of BF5 for about 30 minutes before switching back to the default optimized BIOS settings.
