Hi everyone, I have a question about the AMD Ryzen 3700X. Can it support four RAM sticks in quad channel mode? According to their specs, there are only two memory channels listed. Does that affect performance compared to dual channel? Or could the new RAM not be recognized properly? If I install four 8 GB modules, would only 16 GB appear? I’m a bit confused and would appreciate your clarification. Thanks, Simon.
It would help to achieve higher frequencies with reduced delays. Quad channel involves four memory modules operating together. The 3700X cannot do this—it only allows two modules to function as a dual channel. Using four sticks means you'll have two pairs of dual channels; the full 32GB will appear, but sticks in slots 1 and 3 will work together while slots 2 and 4 will operate separately.
