Hey, here are your details: I have a Ryzen 3600 with 16GB RAM (two 8GB units) using the Corsair 3000 CL15. It’s been optimized to 3433 CL16 with MSI B450 Tomahawk Max Arctic Cooler 34. On Cinebench R20, the boost never exceeds 3900MHz per core. The temperatures look okay and don’t seem to impact the clock speed (they stayed around 65°C in a cool room, but can rise to about 75°C in heat). I think the chip might be running at a lower voltage than ideal—around 1.35V to maybe 1.45V—as it appears to need more headroom. The extra cooling overhead seems sufficient for the performance. I’m using Auto PBO settings, but adjusting them hasn’t helped much. My friend built a similar build with these parts and achieved up to 4120MHz all-core boost on Cinebench, scoring around 3570. Could you say he really got the best configuration? Or are there ways to push it a bit without manual tuning?
That's typical, starting at 3.7/3.8 across all cores means a small margin. With PBO, the 100MHz variance is expected. A 1.45 MHz boost could overload the CPU, while 1.35 MHz might cause gradual issues. Values under 1.325/1.3 are generally safe for Zen versions. Newer batches usually offer improved silicon, so performance shouldn't be a major concern.
