Ryzen 3300X performance and overheating trends
Hey everyone, I'm looking for some advice. I just installed the latest AMD chipset drivers and am using Ryzen Balance Power Mode. However, I can't set the minimum CPU usage in the settings, and whenever I open Chrome my usage spikes to around 70% and the temperature rises too. What could be causing this?
The temperature at 70 degrees is acceptable. Is it the Chrome browser that uses this setting?
I noticed identical patterns with my 3770 and later the 8600k. Probably the reduced core/thread count triggers the issue. After switching to a higher model, it stopped happening completely. Task Manager didn’t show any problems during use either. Your CPU remains unaffected even if it briefly reaches 70°C.
It seems strange how your computer uses the CPU even when you're just browsing apps and tabs. That's actually normal behavior—your processor handles the loading process automatically.
Audiences increase their enthusiasm consistently at high levels.
99% usage in Chrome or any other browser? Does it instantly reach 70°C in just two seconds? That’s unusual. I tested with my laptop CPU (4C/4T 2.3~3.2) and it jumps to 99%, but the temperature only rises slightly from 42°C to 46°C in that short time. It might be related to AMD’s tendency to overvolt their processors.
Already created the curve that should function, but it continues to increase unexpectedly despite being intended to behave normally.
