the reason voltage remained elevated on auto voltage 1.4+ is resolved now. it's stable only when needed, but the actual vcore stays consistent. previously it would fluctuate and settle at a fixed vcore level, which was the SVI2 T-FN setting.

VID represents the maximum voltage AMD applies for default clocks to ensure stability. Unless you modify VID in the BIOS, this value will rise as you boost PBO overclocks. Because SenseMi adjustments are essentially stock changes in the BIOS, it's best to leave everything on auto and choose a fixed MHz across all cores or select performance levels 1 through 4 based on your available options and preferences. In the tweakers area, you might find additional settings such as SenseMi Offset and Sense Mi Skew. Reset defaults and clear CMOS before applying these changes, as they sometimes conflict with performance enhancer settings.

Well Skew, I found this confusing and misleading. The algorithm adjusts based on temperature readings. You're free to leave it auto. Your setup with 2700x might not match my 3700x exactly—keep that in mind. Trying things is up to you. Is SenseMi Offset a DID or PID? (I'll check soon). It's currently set at 272. As the number goes up, the overall core frequency increases too. If you push it high enough, around 290, the CPU will throttle to about 3.9GHz even with boosted multipliers. This is just how these chips behave. At high temps (over 69°C), the CPU would slow down to 3.9GHz while boosted. That's the trade-off you need to consider. A high boost clock requires cool temperatures. The CPU warning in the white paper says 70°C max. On the motherboard, the CPU fan header stays at full speed by default. This is the best temperature I'd suggest for running it smoothly. But it's quite challenging. It's F ID, so around 215 should give you roughly 4.3GHz all-core in SenseMi Offset.

Under normal low-current conditions... The voltage remains stable, preventing any degradation of the chip. It behaved as expected during regular operation. At reduced current, the voltage increases while the clock speed also rises, though minimal current flows overall. No corrective action is needed.

The LLC or Load Line Calibration, particularly when auto-enabled, tends to move the v-core past the VID. Be aware of this. The auto mode operates with levels 4 or 5.
