I'm working on an OC for my R3 1200 using its stock wraith stealth cooler at 3.8Ghz with a 0.1750v offset. CPU-Z indicates the voltage is roughly 1.35 to 1.36v under full load. During a 10 to 15 minute AIDA64 system stability test, temperatures peak at 70°C according to AIDA64, but Ryzen Master and HWMonitor report around 79°C, with sudden spikes to 88°C followed by drops back to 79°C. The build is a B350-F ROG STRIX with good ventilation—three intake fans and one exhaust fan. What monitoring tools are you using? Any feedback would be helpful.

I'm attempting to customize my R3 1200 with its stock wraith stealth cooler to 3.8Ghz and an offset of 0.1750v. CPU-Z indicates the voltage is roughly 1.35 to 1.36v under full load. During a 10 to 15 minute AIDA64 system stability test, temperatures peak at 70°C according to AIDA64, while Ryzen Master and HWMonitor report around 79°C, with occasional spikes to 88°C followed by a return to 79°C. The machine is a B350-F ROG STRIX with good ventilation via three intake fans and one exhaust fan. What monitoring tools do you recommend? Any feedback would be helpful.

I also verified with AI Suite 3; the temperatures match those in AIDA64. Readings on HW Monitor and Ryzen Master are roughly 5°C higher than AIDA64, and they occasionally jump by 10–15°C during AIDA64’s stability tests.

Ryzen Master displays identical temperatures to HW Monitor. Under normal conditions, all software shows the same temps, but during stress tests like Asus's AI Suite 3 and AIDA64, the temperatures drop by about 5 degrees Celsius.

I faced a comparable issue. Review any background software. Antivirus, Discord, Skype, Razer Synapse significantly impact these stress tests.

No, there isn't any background activity, and the steam auto start feature is turned off.
