Ryzen 3 3200G paired with 1x8GB RAM at 3000MHz speed

Hey everyone, I'm building a PC under 300€ with future upgradability in mind. I picked a Ryzen 3 3200G with one 8GB DDR4 stick at 3000MHz, since my motherboard has two slots. That way, if I need to upgrade later, I won't have to replace everything from scratch. For games like League of Legends, Minecraft and BoO3, I expect solid performance—enough for smooth gameplay without lag. Looking forward to your thoughts! Thanks.

Consider the Ryzen 5 1600 AF. A non-affordable option works too. The price only increases slightly but the performance gain would be clear. You'll still need a GPU, I’d suggest using a 1600 model and an older used one instead of a 3200 if possible.

Dual channel enhances your performance. Based on my setup (Ryzen 3 2200G, 16GB 3000MHz), I recommend a 16GB kit. This way, only 2GB will be used for VRAM, leaving you with 6GB of RAM for Windows and games—still quite limited.

Absolutely, I handled it. I executed Black ops using low-med configurations at full resolution with 50fps (Ryzen 3 2200G OC CPU @ 4.1GHz and GPU @ 1650MHz).

You probably have dual channel RAM, but OP isn't. He'll avoid overclocking with the standard cooler to prevent damage.
