You're just starting out, that's okay. You're thinking about your first purchase—buying 3100 this week and considering a different motherboard. It's smart to compare options. The B450 offers better value compared to the A320m, especially in terms of cost and features for now. Think about what you need most and stick with what fits your budget and requirements.

The A320 board is unlikely to support the third generation Ryzen. Many B450 models include Ryzen 3000 support by default, but the A320 likely lacks this entirely. If available, you'll still need a first-generation CPU or an AMD boot kit to upgrade the BIOS.

You can use an A320M at 1060p and 60fps while still saving money.

The date isn't important. B450 includes OC features.

I recently changed an A320 to a B450. It should function properly and the CPU will perform well. You can operate the A320 while saving costs, yes.

For my budget, I can purchase an MSI B450 Pro M2 Max. It's the most affordable option among the B450 series. However, I'm curious about the distinctions between it and other models.
