I own a Ryzen 3 2200G and a single stick of 8GB RAM at 2400MHz. Many people suggest needing around 3000MHz for optimal performance. As someone on a budget, I bought the cheapest available 8GB RAM without thinking about speed. I wasn’t aware that this CPU model needed a certain speed. Now I’m stuck with this RAM and wondering what the impact would be. If I upgrade to a dual-channel 2x4GB RAM at 3000MHz, I might stick with this one until I get something better.

It's not only the speed that matters, but that's also a key element in Ryzen's performance. You're also using single-channel mode with one DIMM, which you should switch to dual-channel by using at least two DIMMs. RAM is currently very affordable, so I suggest upgrading to a 16GB 8x2 at 3000MHz if you want to get the most out of your system.

Single-channel performance is significantly worse than dual-channel, particularly when using integrated graphics. Describing a setup with 2400 MHz RAM as if it were 3000 MHz would be an exaggeration, but the difference between dual and single channels is substantial.

Save for a short time and grab your RAM whenever you can. I suggest opting for the 1650 if you have the budget. Your APU will keep you going with the RAM upgrade until then. The 2200g might slow things down a bit for either card, but they’ll still work fine. 1050 versus 1650

The GTX 1650 comes at a higher price and offers only marginal gains, while the RX 570 might perform better in certain titles. The main drawback is its increased power consumption. The GTX 1050 isn't recommended. A review of the GTX 1650 is available, showing its performance across various games using cards from GTX 1050 Ti and above. It's also a good choice if you opt for a used RX 470, which could be about 5-10% slower than the RX 570 but significantly outperforming the GTX 1050. For memory, dual-channel RAM (two sticks) can boost performance by roughly 5-15% in most applications. With a 2400 MHz processor, faster RAM isn't necessary unless the price difference is minimal. Aim for at least 3000 MHz if possible. Processors like the 2200G and first-gen Ryzen struggle with speeds above 3000 MHz, though they can reach up to 3600 MHz.
