Ryzen 3 1300X is a powerful processor model.
I have a Ryzen 3 1300x, and I encountered issues with Warzone crashing. I’m wondering if this processor is outdated for modern games like Warzone, R6, and PUBG. When checking the task manager, CPU usage spikes to 100% during other games, but drops to around 70-85% in League of Legends. I’ve run anti-virus and cleared threats, updated drivers, but the problem persists. In short, is my CPU still functional or should I consider a replacement?
Make sure you share all your details there—there’s no chance the CPU is the issue.
CPU thread count is insufficient. We have a 1400 on our home HTPC and it runs smoothly with a GTX 980. Our gaming performance is satisfactory while the CPU offers 8 threads. I believe the 1300 model with just 4 cores isn't ideal for games that demand more than four threads. Besides the antivirus, consider performing a Malwarebytes scan as well.
It is confirmed at 100%. The applications you're using might require more than four cores. I believe eight cores or threads are now typical for gaming these days.
It's fully used up because the 1300X is an older quad-core processor with 4 cores and 4 threads. You might need to reinstall Windows as you mentioned suspicious background threats and programs consuming RAM, not just CPU resources. This should help somewhat. Upgrading your CPU to something like a Ryzen 1600 or 1600AF would be better. Your motherboard can only handle up to 2666MHz RAM speed, which isn't sufficient for a Ryzen processor.
Are there alternatives to upgrading your CPU? Overclocking might be an option, but its effectiveness depends on your specific situation.
