Ryzen 1700 Literally Won't OC
Ryzen 1700 Literally Won't OC
When I initially assembled the system, I installed a stable OC at 3.7GHz and it operated smoothly for several months. Later, I observed it reverting to the stock 3GHz frequency despite changes in BIOS settings. Even after updating and rolling back the BIOS, the frequency remains unchanged. Any suggestions?
It seems you're wondering if the VCore voltage was adjusted, but it wasn't. Usually, you should manually configure the VCore voltage and speed. You can find more information here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hKNePZkHJEY

I guess you didn't change the vcore voltage, did you? Normally you will need to manually set up VCore voltage and speed accordingly. Check this out:

Yes, changed the VCore voltage to 1.35V. Sorry for not mentioning that.
Can you take a screenshot of your settings using VCore and check the CPU speed? I'll do it when I get home from work.
Yes and it will display 37 as the multiplier while keeping the frequency at 3.00
There's a switch. I forget exactly what it is, a cool'n'quiet type switch, but if it's enabled, it basically caps the processor speeds to regulate heat output in SFX/HTPC enclosures. When you flashed the bios, it went back to factory defaults, so its entirely possible that switch wasn't in the original bios. It's there now though, just wish I could remember wth it is called.
