I'm setting up my second PC and searching for a CPU cooler that will keep things quiet while handling an overclocked 1600x. I want something affordable but still decent quality, so I won't waste money on unnecessary features. Since I have the desktop close to my ears, I don’t want loud fans making noise during games without a headset. From what I know, water cooling might not be needed but could definitely reduce noise depending on fan size. It’s also expensive. I’m new to this and haven’t installed anything before. I think I’ll stick with the Gigabyte GA AB350 Gaming 3 AM4 ATX motherboard, a 550-watt Corsair PSU, and a GTX 1070.

It depends on your chosen overclocking path, but a CM 212Evo cooler should work well up to 3.8-3.9GHz. My Nepton 140XL water cooler maintains stable temperatures even when the processor runs above 4GHz.
