Ryzen 1600 4.0mhz
Ryzen 1600 4.0mhz
Hi. I've overclocked my Ryzen 1600 to 4.0mhz with stock voltage. I followed the advice to run a stability system test for at least 30 minutes using Aida64. Everything worked fine at full usage and high temperatures up to 71°C. I believed I had a "golden chip." However, when I ran Cinebench R20 it crashed. Why didn't it crash on Aida64? It was running at 100% for 30 minutes, but on Cinebench it failed in seconds. I then tried 3.9mhz and everything functioned properly. I also noticed the system booted slightly slower with 4.0mhz. If anyone can clarify why it didn't crash during Aida64 testing but did during Cinebench, I'd really appreciate it.
Testing stability with Aida64 isn't ideal. Monitoring the test for 8 hours is necessary since a crash at 4.0ghz in Cinebench caused the PC to reboot repeatedly, raising concerns about potential damage.
