I’m facing a recurring problem where my games frequently crash right after launching. Occasionally I manage short sessions, but crashes can happen instantly or even when idle. The issue isn’t limited to COD WZ; it occurs in other games like LMU and even when I’m just sitting at my desktop. I’ve checked updates, drivers, different versions of AMD Adrenaline, and even performed a clean reinstall. I’ve looked into common fixes for AMD GPUs and adjusted settings like XMP, curve optimizer, and BIOS options, but nothing resolves the problem. I also upgraded my CPU and GPU recently, and switched to a higher PSU, yet the crashes persist. My system specs are listed above, and I’m still unsure what to do next. It seems my GPU might be faulty.

I encountered the same problem while playing DMZ and other games. My system is a 4080 running Windows 11 24h2, and the updated drivers from Aug 24 fixed it. Since you use AMD, do you also have Windows 11 24h2? If yes, consider reverting to 23h2.

At least I understand it's not only an AMD issue. I plan to downgrade to 23h2. Appreciate the advice!

It seems the game or Steam was likely involved. There was a minor update to WZ, and I managed to play for three hours straight without any issues. Interestingly, my friend who sold my old GPU RTX 3070 experienced a crash.

Have you attempted resetting the CPU to its default configuration? The curve appears quite intense. I’d also consider reducing GPU voltage, as that’s often suggested for stability on the 9070. Edit: Don’t worry, I forgot you mentioned trying to revert the CPU to stock settings—keep it there while you work on this issue.

Certain games completely avoid any overclocking, including those made by the developers themselves.

The 750W PSU might not be enough capacity. Some manufacturers list this as a maximum rather than sustained power. Verify your memory OC settings—unstable profiles can cause crashes in games.

It wouldn't restart entirely if the PSU failed, but it might just crash to the desktop instead.

Yeah... but from what you said this is typical ram issue... Try 1 stick only at a time, no XMP. Buy other ram, 2x kit, make sure it's on QVL.
