Hello, I own an RX 7900XT and am experiencing inconsistent video playback. The frames appear normally for a moment, then freeze briefly before jumping to another frame—usually around 1 frame every few seconds or so. Audio functions perfectly through the HDMI output to the GPU. You can watch a sample here: https://youtu.be/EetNeELbuCA. Occasionally, the issue disappears completely when I restart the computer. After reinstalling Windows, it works for a short time, but within a couple of days it reappears. I've tried several troubleshooting steps: uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, resetting Windows, installing new Radeon drivers, turning off the integrated GPU in BIOS, updating chipset drivers, adjusting video settings in Windows (including options from the example video), changing resolutions and refresh rates, and testing different monitors or TVs. Still, the problem persists. I'm uncertain what else to try before considering a return of the GPU. Since all other parts are functioning, it seems the issue might be with the GPU itself or the Radeon drivers. Looking up similar cases online suggests this isn't a widespread problem, so I suspect the hardware is faulty. Although the GPU performs well in games, I'm not sure if further tests will help. Given how specific this is, I'm unsure about the chances of a successful return via warranty. I've encountered this issue on two machines, but per the guidelines, I'll provide the current specs of my system.

Same issue occurred with the RX 6900 XT, so I had to turn off hardware acceleration in the browser.

Thank you for your response. I've been testing... at first I was doubtful since I had previously tried that, but turning off hardware acceleration in both the browser and VLC really helped a lot. Appreciate that! Still, I notice some stutter during video playback, especially in fullscreen mode. It's manageable, but since my PC powers the TV, it's quite concerning for me. I'll attempt to return it for repair as hardware acceleration should work with the card. I also have a case with Radeon open. If I can't find another fix besides returning it, I'll share it here.
