Rx6950 has issues and stops functioning properly.
Hello, your system specs are 5 5600x 32ram, 3600hz, AMD 6950xt from AMD and a B550M DDR3. You often experience crashes and performance drops, especially when aiming for 140fps in wqhd. While you usually get around 100 or 70fps with stutters, crashes happen more frequently. The BIOS is F1, which might be the issue. I’m unsure if it’s related to the BIOS but want to know if an update is necessary. The RX6950XT can reach 100% but rarely hits it—usually between 30-60%. It doesn’t seem to bottleneck because your CPU is also in that range. When it does hit 100%, it lasts at least 10 minutes under stress, with temps staying below 71°C. Please help!
Verify chipset drivers are current. https://www.amd.com/en/support/chipsets/...t-am4/b550 - during installation, ensure all parts are installed; hover over components to confirm status and updates. In BIOS, fast boot should be either enabled or disabled as required. CSM must match accordingly. On Windows, fast startup needs to be unchecked: https://www.howtogeek.com/856514/how-to-...indows-10/
I can install the AMD chipset software, but when I tried to launch it again, it didn’t remove the programs that were already installed. It seems like they might have overwritten them or reinstalled something. The crashes are getting worse, and the loading feels slower. I’m not sure if the issue is still the same.
When attempting to launch Adrenalin again, a warning appeared: "The version of AMD Software you have is not compatible with your currently installed AMD graphics card. Visit: www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/pa-300." After visiting the site and downloading the compatibility tool, it indicated there was no AMD Software installed. I’m confused because I had already uninstalled it using DDU and reinstalled it, yet nothing appears if I just opened it before my crash.
Don't have to set up StoreMI or raid. Did you remove GPU drivers using DDU in safe mode? You can turn off Windows' automatic driver install in DDU settings, then restart and try again. Reinstalling Windows might also resolve the issue.
The GPU is here. Don't worry, just take out your HDDs or turn off SATA. Then remove the GPU and reset the CMOS.
