RX6900XT stops working during PUBG gameplay
Hey there, friends. So a buddy of mine is having an issue with PUBG. Whenever he starts playing, his GPU suddenly turns off right in the middle of the game. It’s not a crash screen, but the monitor just goes black and the GPU shuts down completely. We’ve tried all sorts of fixes—reinstalling drivers, updating BIOS, lowering clock speeds, using higher cooler curves. Here are his details: GPU is Radeon RX6900XT, CPU is Ryzen 9 5900X, RAM is 32GB (two 8GB modules, Ripjaws and Corsair RGB), both modules run at 3200MHz with CL16 timing, and he’s using a Corsair RM850X power supply. He’s running Windows 11 and we don’t know the latest driver version yet.
The PC appears to restart on its own after triggering the issue, and it shows a GPU POST code error. It seems the 6900XT may have been defective, as noted by ASUS, and was replaced accordingly.
