Did you verify the Device Manager to see if it appears detected without a working driver? It might list as unrecognized or show a Basic Display Driver.

I hadn't considered it, yet I didn't even have a display port connected through the GPU; only an HMI was available, using the IGUI.

Ye, driver issue. It shouldn't happen, but it does, where the driver just breaks. I've seen this happen a few times, not unique to AMD. Good indication that its software and not hardware is if the device is still displaying and recognized in Device Manager.
