I recently assembled a new computer with these specifications. An AMD Ryzen 5 9600X at 3.9 GHz, 6-core processor, Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE 66.17 CFM CPU cooler, GIGABYTE B850 Gaming WIFI6, AMD AM5 LGA 1718 motherboard, Z5 Neo RGB series, AMD Expo DDR5 RAM (32GB, 2x16GB, 6000MT/s), CL36-36-36-961.35V, and a GIGABYTE Radeon RX 9060 XT gaming graphics card with PCIe 5.0 and 16GB WD_Black SN850X M.2-2280 NVMe SSD (2TB) were installed. I also added a Corsair RM850e 850W fully modular ATX power supply. When everything was set up, my PC would randomly shut down without warning, except during idle periods. It would occasionally run at lower performance when launching games. This behavior strongly suggests a GPU issue. I’ve tried various fixes: reinstalling drivers, reseating the GPU and cables, underclocking, changing the PCIe slot in BIOS to Gen4, and even reinstalling Windows. I noticed the VGA light would flicker on during boot but disappear after restarting. The black screen only appeared when running a stress test or VRAM test. All power connections seem secure and properly seated. I’ve considered switching the display port (DP) or HDMI, but that didn’t resolve the problem. Someone suggested checking my DP connection—though it didn’t help for DP or HDMI. I’m unsure what else to do and need guidance.

gigabyte products aren't known for a great reputation, especially regarding GPUs. It might be a faulty GPU case or a poor cable case. Have you swapped out your cables with something new? You mentioned problems with using two monitors—one on HDMI and one on DP. If you have more than one monitor, ensure you're using the same control protocol. For single monitors, just switch between HDMI and DP if needed.

I attempted this and I'm almost certain it's related to the GPU. Since I've only been using a single monitor, I plan to return the GPU and purchase a replacement. The other potential issue might be an internal problem with the PCLe cable, but I'm unsure how to check for damage myself and my PSU didn't come with a spare.

it's most likely a GPU issue, just don't buy another gigabyte, go for sapphire, they have amazing products

Based on my experience, mostly XFX cards offer better value and never fail or act improperly. The only care I provided was regular upkeep, mainly dust cleaning.
