Hello! In January I decided to upgrade my 1660ti to support 1440p gaming. I purchased an ASRock Challenger Pro Radeon RX 6750 XT. My system includes 32GB RAM at 3200MHz, a Ryzen 7 5700X processor, and a 550-watt power supply. I have three monitors—two at 1080p 144Hz and one at 1440p 144Hz. Initially, the GPU caused issues; games like Battlfield V & 1, Red Dead 2, Fortnite, BeamNG, Fallout 4, AOE, and GMod would freeze after a short period, sometimes crashing entirely. I tried updating all drivers using DDU and reinstalling them, but the problem persisted. Eventually, I suspected a hardware issue. Since it wasn’t a driver or temp-related problem, I’m considering a potential hardware fault. If this continues, I might need to reconsider my setup. Any suggestions?
You haven't mentioned the motherboard or hard drive setup. From what I found online, the card draws at least 250 Watts on its own, which suggests your power supply might be insufficient. By adding other components, it seems a 550 Watt PSU would be more appropriate. You're currently using a Corsair RM1000x PSU while running a Radeon RX 6750 XT, but your setup appears to be underpowered for the load. Upgrading the PSU is definitely the next step.
I stumbled upon your thread while looking up on Google. I’m struggling to figure things out. I own a 6750 and often experience crashes in games like Dota 2, CS:GO, and many others. On the flip side, I can play Cyberpunk 2077 for long periods without issues. The store had a replacement card for repair, mentioning coil whine localization, but the problem persists. Could your specs be outdated—your PSU is a new GIGABYTE UD850GM PG5? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
