It's been a decade since my last AMD build. I prefer Intel and NVIDIA, but now I'm considering the AMD RX 6700XT. Which processor would you suggest for improved performance—Intel i5-12400F or Ryzen 5 6500/G/X?

No, I'm not planning to buy a mobile chip.

When discussing the 5600 versus the 12400f, the differences are minimal. Some users, including me, have encountered issues with 5600s and 5700xs not performing well, so opting for the 12400f might be a better choice.

The 12400F tends to perform better overall. The 5600X is usually priced similarly to the 5600, though the single-core speed is a bit higher, making it more comparable to the 12400F. Ultimately, the choice depends on personal preference—AMD or Intel. I’m a big AMD supporter and often recommend Ryzen CPUs for those unfamiliar with hardware. With Intel prices dropping recently, it’s tough to clearly suggest one over the other.
