Hello, I recently assembled my PC and encountered an issue where the graphics card operates at 80°C. It uses an XFX version with inadequate cooling, so I prefer not to overclock. I’m looking for a solution to add a custom fan curve (I’m okay with some noise). What’s the best approach? Can this be done using AMD Wattman?

Adjust it fairly high, about 50% for 60C and 70C would be ideal, reaching 100% at 100%.
100% at 70 isn't that excessive, right?
Not really, a few friends and family members kept their GPU fan speed at 100% constantly without any problems even after many years. Personally, I wouldn't do that for noise reasons, but it's definitely possible. I've owned several FX cards in the past, and to maintain safe temperatures, I usually set the fan speed around 100% during the 70-75C range.

I'd use MSI Afterburner.

I would use MSI Afterburner.
What's the ideal custom curve for XFX 580? Sorry, I'm still learning about this stuff.

Adjust the setting to about 50% for 60C and increase to 100% by 70C. Is 100% at 70°C really too high?
