RX 580 4gb
RX 580 4gb
Essentially similar to OCing CPUs. The main focus is minimizing power consumption as much as feasible, considering the power and thermal constraints that safeguard the device. Testing involves finding the most stable voltage for a specific frequency.
But will my 600w suffice? Many articles mentioned a 500w limit, but the power calculator suggested an 850w power supply for typical use (maybe for the 8gb drive).
Everything seems okay. Your CPU isn't compatible with overclocking.
My setup (i5-3570K @ 4.2GHz + RX480 @ 1300MHz) uses 270W at the power supply, which is 90% efficient, meaning about 250W goes to the PSU.
There are occasional spikes beyond that range that my Kill-a-Watt can't detect, but I have a 550W unit.
I don't think you'd be able to exceed 400W even with a strong overclock on your GPU.
The RX580 is essentially a modified version of the factory OCd RX480, both reaching approximately 1500MHz.
I have some concerns about the PSU. Chieftec isn't recognized for producing reliable products, and there are no available reviews for this item.
