I recently purchased an Rx 5700xt and a Corsair CX650 to run it. My motherboard is an M5A78L-M/USB3, and I have an AMD FX 8520 CPU, 16GB of 1866 MTI RAM (which the system recognizes), and a SATA SSD that functions properly. The issue is that after turning on the PC, it boots into BIOS and then displays a black screen, preventing Windows from loading. I removed the GPU and turned it off (still connected), and in both cases, the system boots into Windows Repair mode, where everything functions. However, the GPU still works—fans spin, aspect ratio shifts when using the RX5700XT versus onboard graphics. I attempted to install the GPU drivers and restart, but that didn’t resolve it. I updated the motherboard BIOS to the latest version I could find, but the screen remains black after booting. Edit: I used integrated graphics to boot into Windows and then disabled the GPU in Device Manager, which fixed the problem.
