RX 570 graphics card isn't showing up with the Gigabyte h61m S2P motherboard.
My setup details: Mobo model Gigabyte H61m, CPU i5 3rd gen, Graphics card RX 570 4GB, RAM 4GB x2, PSU Corsair VS450. The card isn’t showing any output in this build, though fans spin and all peripherals light up. Boots with a single short beep. With integrated graphics, the board functions and displays correctly. It works with any low-end card—even older GPUs. The RX 570 also runs smoothly on other boards, including Intel 7th gen with Mobo. Everything seems fine except the graphics card not displaying. Could there be a compatibility issue? #Help
Review the motherboard's BIOS settings, as it might be configured to turn off the discrete GPU. Alternatively, a problem with the CPU—such as damaged pins or a dirty socket—could prevent the PCIe slot from functioning. Have you got another GPU to test? Or a different PCIe card?
Never encountered this before from the many faulty boards I've purchased. Usually, a dirty PCIe slot won't work; a quick spray of 99% IPA can revive it. It seems the slot might be dirty, so applying the cleaner should help. After drying for 2-4 hours, the slot should function again. For the GPU PCIe connector, you can wipe it with soaked 99% IPA or rub it with a finger dipped in the same solution. Regarding the PSU, it should still support the 570W, but you'll need to connect all GPU power connectors properly. A 6-pin plugging into an 8-pin adapter is likely the issue. What model of the RX 570 are you using?
RX cards from AMD require UEFI-enabled BIOS... does your motherboard support UEFI in the BIOS settings? It might not be obvious, but there are updates from 2012 and 2014 suggesting better PCI-E X16 video card compatibility. You may want to verify if your board has the most recent BIOS version.
