Hello, I've come across some discussions about Rust lagging, but nothing quite matches what I'm experiencing. My frame rate drops significantly, sometimes every few seconds, causing the game to freeze completely for a short time. It also slows down when moving around or picking up items. Loading times increase whether I'm in the server or teleporting. One day I played normally, then suddenly it started happening consistently. A friend recently faced the same issue too. My laptop has 16GB RAM and runs perfectly fine. I downloaded Rust on a laptop with 16GB RAM, but it worked just as well. My desktop has 16GB or more RAM and also performed without issues. When I open Task Manager while playing, my FPS drops sharply and the HDD usage spikes to 100%. I've read that some people think the HDD might be acting like a paging file, which matches what Task Manager shows. I've tried disabling it, but it makes no difference. Some recommendations on Steam for startup changes haven't helped. I was considering upgrading to 32GB RAM, but I'm puzzled why my desktop lags while my laptop doesn't. Any suggestions?

Specs: Ryzen 7 2700X EVGA 2080 Super FTW3 Hybrid OC Asus Prime x570-p Patriot Viper 16GB 3600mHz CL17 (operating at 3200Mhz) with two Seagate 2TB HDDs and a WD black sn750 500GB drive. Thanks for reading.
