Hello! Just installed a new power supply, upgrading from 550w to 650w. My system includes: GPU - RTX 3070ti, CPU - Ryzen 7 5700x 8 cores, RAM - 16gb DDR4, and PSU - 650w. During benchmarks, everything is working fine with no problems, and my GPU runs at full capacity. While gaming, I've played several titles and kept usage around 50-60% with FPS between 55-60, and temperatures stayed near 60°C. I'm a bit confused and would appreciate your guidance. Have a great day/evening!

It varies by game; the R7 5700 is essentially a modified Ryzen 5700G without the integrated graphics, resulting in reduced L3 cache. Performance hinges on RAM speed, often leading to limited GPU usage in certain titles due to CPU and memory constraints.

Which titles are available? Are you using Vsync?

Do you have a maximum frame rate limit? The display is set to a specific resolution. This issue started after installing the new PSU. Performance was normal before this change. Their note mentions a 5700X resolution.

It's a 5700X setup with no FPS cap and 1080p across all titles. I installed the PSSU today and verified everything is connected correctly. Performance improved in every game I tested, though GPU usage stayed consistently below 99%. (Spiderman, Elden Ring...) The biggest issue was Cyberpunk, which was stuck at around 70% even before the PSU change. I still got better frame rates than before. It seems like a bottleneck, but the benchmarks show none. Not sure what's happening.

It might just be a slight slowdown because your GPU is drawing more power from the upgraded PSU, which could let the CPU catch up. No noticeable stutters—just a mild bottleneck, nothing serious. (If it starts stuttering, that’s a different issue.)

It would help if the slow part didn’t cut in half the frames. Right now I’m only getting about 55 frames on Cyberpunk with an RTX 3070 Ti—it feels really frustrating.

Execute Cinebench R23 on a new system and share the findings. Then verify key metrics while playing a game such as Cyberpunk to assess CPU usage, power consumption, and boost frequency.

The configuration is quite limited, especially for a 3070 Ti. You might be reaching the maximum VRAM, though Cyberpunk doesn’t seem to go beyond 7 gigabytes even with ultra settings (at 1080p). CPU usage in the game appears to be moderate, you could try benchmarks like Cinebench to see more details.

Hey! I didn’t restart the PC just yet since I’m still working on it. I ran Cinebench and the multi-core test, and I scored 12,772 points. That number isn’t super clear to me—can you break it down or explain what it means?
