Hi. At the local vape shop today, the staff were gamers and told me you could download XBOX software for PC from the Microsoft Store—it’s an app you can install. They also mentioned using a XBOX One controller for gaming on PC.
Questions:
* What kind of controller should I use to play these games?
* Is it possible to get a custom controller?
* Which brands of custom controllers do you suggest?
* What application do I need to install on my PC to make this work?
Thanks. I’m really new to this stuff.

A few games are accessible on Xbox via the Microsoft Store on Windows 10. My experience is mainly with Forza titles and Horizon; Horizon works well, Forza Motorsport 7 doesn’t install from the store, and there’s a known issue that has existed in the app store for a long time. In the start menu, find the Microsoft Store, sign in using the email tied to your Xbox account, and search for the desired games. The games you play affect the controller settings.

Other Xbox titles can be played anywhere using a mouse and keyboard. These are typically developed by Microsoft, like Minecraft Bedrock Edition, Forza Horizon 4, Sea of Thieves, etc. You purchase the game directly or download it for free from the Microsoft store if you own the Xbox version. Most of the games I've tried have solid support for keyboard and mouse controls.

Horizon 4 with a keyboard and mouse was the concept that surprised me a bit. Lol. Just need a micro-USB cable and at least an Xbox Once controller. I also have a racing game wheel that works on both Xbox and PC, offering a much better experience.
