Task Manager indicates my account is using just 3GB, even though multiple Chrome tabs are open. I have 32GB of DDR4 RAM and am utilizing roughly 20.5 to 21GB. Only Bitdefender, Logitech mouse, and Windows Defender are installed at startup. No files are being written to disks, CPU usage is 3-4%, GPU usage is minimal. Anyone else experience this? Performance feels unchanged.

Open Resource Monitor, look at the Memory section and note the allocations it displays. Have you scanned for viruses or malware?

It uses minimal memory, but I just ended it to see if it would improve performance and nothing altered.

Avoid running two apps simultaneously—this shouldn’t work because the system will disable one if it senses another active. Also, when Chrome closes, memory usage typically drops unless you’re using background processes.

wallpaper64.exe is consuming 4GB of memory, while the program using 8GB is vsserv.exe. I looked up information online and found a description stating that this software is part of the Bull Guard Internet Security suite and BitDefender AntiVirus package. It’s important for these tools to run smoothly so they can effectively safeguard your computer from threats like worms, trojans, and viruses. It appears Bitdefender is allocating 8GB of RAM for this purpose.
