Sure, you can create a fresh VM after the original one fails. Just set up a new instance and use the same product code—this way it will appear as a new machine to the system.

I think you should be fine, but to be honest I've never tried. Anyway since it's a VM you can backup the files and if someday your PC crash, you just need to copy the files back and open the VM in VMWare Player.

With a Microsoft account, you have the flexibility to relocate the Windows license. Alternatively, you can avoid registration and use it without cost.

They all work the same way. Simply connect to a Microsoft account and transfer it across devices. https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/help...are-change

You're not sure about the purpose of the VM, but you can easily download a free Windows version from here: https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/mi...tools/vms/. It's designed for Edge developers and is available to everyone. The guide even recommends capturing a snapshot of your VM setup to bypass the 90-day restriction.
