I understand I often mention this, but I'm getting a Z97 board and Pentium K in June. I'm probably installing this in my Steam Machine/LAN box (specs listed) and replacing the case with an Elite 110 for a watercooling AIO. I'm using Windows 8.1 (System Builder OEM) and it seems I need to purchase a new license when swapping the motherboard. Is this accurate? Or should I uninstall drivers on the current version, swap the board, and then boot from SSHD? If I need another Windows copy, maybe I'll switch to Ubuntu instead. I'm curious about learning Linux and the terminal, as most of my Steam games work well on it. What are your thoughts?

Connect the Ethernet cable to the motherboard, and Windows will handle the rest. No additional Windows installation required.

Are you sure? It seems quite straightforward, but I want to avoid any mistakes that could affect my Windows setup.
