After finishing my setup last week, I've faced a recurring problem where my computer freezes when idle. It works fine with video playback but freezes 90% of the time if I leave it running without interaction. Checking Event Viewer revealed a WHEA Logger error. CPU tests passed, and 3DMark showed normal performance. I can play games for hours without freezing, but leaving it idle for under a minute causes it to crash. Temperatures look stable on the GPU and CPU, hovering around 60°C max. This morning I started my PC while ArchiSteamFarmer was running, took a shower, and came back to find it unresponsive. After rebooting, it switched to my CPU's graphics card and required a fresh AMD adrelin installation to function properly. This is the final version of my build without any extra hardware. Last night while playing TF2, my FPS dropped from 200 to just over 60, then returned after a few minutes.

Welcome to the forums! I’d like to mention that purchasing two separate kits of RAM and combining them into 32GB is likely the main issue. A practical test would be to remove one kit and see if the problem persists. Try using matching kits, even identical ones, since they might not be guaranteed to work together. Testing each kit individually would be my first troubleshooting step. If this resolves the issue, consider buying a kit that matches your desired size and speed without needing combinations. If the problem continues, let me know and we can explore further steps.

The idea I tried might have helped, but I encountered another issue. I left my computer idle to check if it would freeze, but the screen went to sleep and didn’t respond. I restarted it. Now my system appears to be using the GPU instead of my 6650 chip, and only after reinstalling AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition did the display function correctly again. The update keeps restarting drivers and seems to change them constantly, stopping only when the computer powers off.

I would consider these steps:
- Verify your BIOS version (F20 offers better PCIe Gen5 stability, with the latest being F22)
- Utilize the dedicated GPU in a separate PCIe lane (likely Gen 3 per chipset specs) and observe any changes
- Switch PCIe slot to Gen 4
- Apply an older AMD driver — on AMD Radeon Graphics Drivers (22.11.2 WHQL)
Download options are available on TechPowerUp; they have older versions than the previous AMD download site. I use 22.3.1 on a machine where newer drivers caused issues.

Your BIOS is set to F7. You can update it via BIOS with F22. Also, the installation of 22.3.1 WHQL failed because it detected unsupported AMD hardware—your BIOS lists your GPU as a dedicated GPU, which is why you received the error. Setting it to Gen 3/4 means upgrading your graphics support level.

Ensure you have the latest chipset drivers installed, which should allow a direct update to F22 (refer to the BIOS version F20 guidance). Verify your motherboard revision matches the one listed on the MOBO download page. On the MOBO manual page, locate the "Unique Features Introduction" document for instructions on using Q-Flash to update the BIOS. After updating, recheck the newest AMD GPU drivers for improvements. If stability remains an issue, try connecting your GPU to a different PCIe slot on the motherboard. The PCIe16 slot adjacent to the CPU supports PCIe Generation 5, while the other two x16 slots are compatible with Generation 3. Your GPU should work with Generation 4 PCIe, though there might be compatibility concerns with the newer Generation 5 slot.

I managed to update the BIOS without issues, and my GPU is running smoothly. Your support made a big difference. Thanks!
