There is a decent chance it will be announced at the Windows Event June 24 at 11 am ET so if you are interested in Windows 11 you should watch out for that.

I'm using a Mac, so it's not really worth the effort. The only reason I'm interested is because you need to run it in a VM—it's fun to experiment with before the final release.

In reality, technically yes—unless the leak involved MS releasing the ISO on Purpos, which appears to have happened after their announcement, making it still illegal but unlikely to result in fines. I haven’t noticed any reports of MS taking action on Reddit yet, so it seems they’re not doing anything at the moment.

Windows 10 launched in 2015, yet Windows 7 remained supported until around 2020. There’s a bit of a gap there.
