Running smoothly with 7GB of RAM when the system starts up.
Hey everyone! I recently assembled my PC and am checking if this is typical. Initially, RAM usage was low, but over time it has increased significantly even when idle. When I power on the machine, it quickly starts using nearly 7GB of RAM. I've looked through forums without finding a fix, though. I've updated all drivers and the BIOS during setup, and Windows is current too. I attached a screenshot from Task Manager to possibly help diagnose the problem. I've reviewed my startup apps, and the only ones launching at boot are: iCUE NZXT CAM "Delayed Launcher", Intel Graphics Command Center Startup Task, RAM Cache III, Realtek HD audio, Universal Service Windows Security Notification Icon. My PC specs include an Intel 10th Gen i7-10700K running Windows 10 64-bit Professional. I opted out of extra bloatware to prevent this issue (lol!). I overclocked it to 5.1GHz with XMP enabled. The components I used are Corsair Dom Plat 32GB RAM, 2x16GB at 3200MHz CL16, iCUE, NZXT CAM, and several cooling parts. Updated on April 8, 2022 by Brae.
It looks like many people are using a lot of iCUE and NZXT products! Disappointing.
Sorry you already wrote what starts with your pc. That sounds like a possible culprit. But as long you don't have problems don't worry
