Access your BIOS and enable XAMP/XMP/DOCP settings. This configures the memory to operate at its maximum capacity. The DDR4 base frequency is 2133Mhz.

From my experience MSI calls it XAMP and if you are on the EZ Mode there will be a red button at the top where you can change it (turn it on/off)

This discussion prompted me to check my RAM speed. Of course, it was 2667 rather than the expected 3200, even though I'm sure I enabled AXMP earlier. Probably one of my BIOS updates caused it to reset, but not the other settings.
