No reason you oc to 4.0. it'll do that itself on all cores. You might have to undervolt it a tiny bit to get temps low enough to have it run at 4.0 auto

Consider saving money by choosing the Ryzen 5 2600 if you can overclock it. Alternatively, opt for the I5 8600K or 9600K to ensure stability.

They come with another cooler. The 2600 model isn't suitable for 4.0 all cores in many configurations. You might opt for a 2600 paired with a higher-end cooler for a bit more than a 2600x, which would support 4.0

你觉得4或以上GHz的ryzen 5 2600 OC会比i5 8600k或9600k更好吗?

For gaming an overclocked 8600k/9600k setup is advantageous, particularly for achieving very high frame rates. However, these components are more expensive. If you're considering overclocking, the 2600 appears to be the more sensible choice, as it's $40 less. Even with the improved stock cooler version, this price gap would allow you to purchase a superior cooler for the 2600, leaving you with some extra funds.

they differ mainly by about 5 to 10 percent, similar to a 10 to 20 fps change that isn't obvious

ksquad684 :
choose the right CPU cooler based on your budget—water coolers or air coolers are options. I favor water coolers for overclocking since they operate more quietly.
