I'm not familiar with OCing. I've done some research on it. But what speed can my FX6300 reach without altering the voltage? I heard that adjusting the voltage might harm the CPU so much. I'm planning to switch to Gigabyte Ga 970 Gaming to OC. So what speed can my FX6300 reach without changing the voltage? Or what voltage is safest?

I also have an FX 6300 overclocked, feel free to copy my settings if you wish—I'm at 4GHz with 1.4V. Please note that my voltage is too high for just a 4GHz overclock; I suspect I got lucky with the silicon inside the processor. It needs 1.4 volts to stay stable at that speed, but try yours and you might be lucky to hit 4.4GHz to 4.5GHz at 1.4V.
(Adjust in small steps of .05mV)
Let me know if you succeed!
