I've been using my PC for about a year now. I've tried everything new—fresh OS, GPU drivers, all that—but nothing seems to fix the issue. I think my memory card might be the problem, or maybe my NVIDIA/AMD combo is causing trouble. Maybe I just need a new card at this point.
AMDxnVIDIA shouldn't cause such problems. I tested it and everything worked perfectly. Are those readings at idle? If yes, your parts might be getting too hot. Do you have many background processes running, like RGB control apps while gaming? Probably not, since you reinstalled the OS. Also, do you save your games on the T7? A full USB bus could slow asset loading. That’s all I’ve considered so far—maybe someone with more experience can assist further.
I own my games and operating system on a Kingston device. I’m unsure if the GPU drivers are damaged or if my CPU is the issue. I’ve reset the BIOS settings but it didn’t help much. There are no background apps running, my monitor is on, and the temperatures aren’t extremely high—it depends on the games I play. I mainly play CSGO and Fortnite, which cause stutters, making it really unpleasant. Playing like this isn’t ideal at all.
The stuttering likely isn<|pad|>, not due to storage issues. I wouldn't suspect GPU drivers are broken; more probably you're seeing artifacts or crashes, which could also affect the CPU. Did you wipe your operating system and reinstall it from the beginning? Just a BIOS reset wouldn't fix this. Background programs like browsers, Discord, RGB controls, etc., should be accounted for. What are your temperatures? You can check them while gaming using Afterburner, and also monitor clock speeds. Restart your system and watch the BIOS settings to see if temperatures rise during startup. If the clocks fluctuate and components heat up, it's likely thermal throttling. Stuttering isn't enjoyable—I began playing on a very basic machine.
your current temperature reading is what it shows now. when you disabled the "number of processors" setting, you should use all cores. i heard that leaving it off might be better. i reset my bios and remember amd ryzen had an issue called "amd ftpm stuttering problem." i downloaded the latest bios version, which resets the settings, and then adjusted them. though, if i revert to the default bios value, it may not fix the stuttering issue. i plan to try resetting it again and check if that helps, but i’ll also turn on my xmp to see.
