For certain games wine could function perfectly, yet most encountered issues required trial and error to launch the first time. Could it be the incorrect packages or settings? Installing Windows in a VM helps run Linux programs quietly, lowering the number of Windows apps but still requiring its installation and managing drivers—a challenge that doesn’t always resolve. I’m also worried my CPU might be limiting performance in this configuration.

The CPU must handle the pass-through feature initially. Unless you have an 8-core processor, performance will drop significantly, which is why many users opt for dual booting into Windows.
