A 1080 owner can definitely experience high-quality multiplayer FPS at 4K in BF1. The reviews I've seen online come from trusted places and usually focus on single-player performance rather than real-world gameplay.

Settings at 1440p and 980ti deliver performance of roughly 90-110 frames per second.

However, I question if an i7 6700K can handle the transition from 1080p to 4K without issues.

Observe that the video resolution scale is configured at 42% in the menu, but during beta it was 100%. In the current live version it defaults to 100%, which is the accurate setting.
