My computer handles R6 smoothly at playable frame rates, but struggles with MC. You only want to experiment in that game... and you don’t want to risk anything.
It's not about the processor, I had a much worse machine before. That one had an i3 6340? Probably an i3, but it was really okay. It ran Minecraft at around 37 frames per second. This computer has better components in every area—faster CPU, improved graphics card, and so on. The old system lacked a dedicated GPU; it only had an Intel HDD 4400. That setup was really disappointing. It needed more RAM, a better case, and overall solid upgrades. People with i5 or i7 models often face similar issues, but I haven’t found a solution yet. Just share your specs if you want more details!
Based on the visuals you're seeing, your CPU might actually be the bottleneck. In fact, many desktops with i3 Haswell or newer chips perform better for gaming when you run at higher settings. Ideally, a system should handle 1080p at 60 frames per second with around 8-10 frames per render distance, while other settings are optimized. I’d recommend fine-tuning OptiFine to really improve performance.
Sure, Optifine helped me back when I used a 2013 MacBook Pro for Minecraft.
