Hey there. I'm facing an issue with my RAM not working consistently across all frequencies except JDEC. No matter what adjustments I make—like tweaking timings or boosting voltages—it still doesn't stabilize. I can only manage to push it up a bit, but it's frustrating. With limited funds, buying new RAM isn't an option. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. My setup includes two 8GB Patriot 5200mh CL36 sticks, a Ryzen 5 7600 CPU, Asus Prime B650-M A WIFI (very poor VRM, 10/10 don’t recommend), and an XFX 6900XT GPU. I’ve tried changing settings incrementally, but it keeps failing under stress tests like OCCT. DOCP is also unreliable, none of the profiles hold. Interestingly, it runs at 4800mhz CL32 sometimes. Could you advise? Should I experiment with CPU voltages or something else? My goal is just to keep my budget PC functioning as expected.

I'm curious if the problem lies with your RAM or if your motherboard allows overclocking and DDR5 up to 5600. Have you verified the QVL for your model? https://www.asus.com/motherboards-compon...qvl_memory

No, I haven't referenced any DDR5 overclocking guides specifically for AM5.

Is this focused on DDR5? You actually need a configuration tailored for DDR5 and AM5 since manual overclocking (without XMP/EXPO) requires adjusting settings that XMP/EXPO automatically handles. It's more complex than with DDR4, where you could simply tweak the DRAM frequency and voltage and only adjust other parameters if the overclock was substantial.

Have you verified your system uses the most recent BIOS release? Updating BIOS may enhance memory compatibility.
