It seems odd since the device appears to lack sufficient power even with a 500W Platinum PSU. Updated on May 12, 2023 by podkall.

Thanks, pod. It looks like you're facing some limitations due to your VRMs and power supply. Could you tell me what kind of motherboard you have? Your temperatures are fine, which is normal since the CPU only spikes occasionally during gameplay—especially when rendering new areas or sprites. For YouTube videos or similar content, it's likely the GPU handles most of the work, with the CPU assisting only briefly. That wattage seems unusual. What model of motherboard are you using?

Prebuilt system comes with an Intel B660 chipset but is actually an OEM board.

Check for obvious heat sinks on the VRMs or side panels; lack of proper cooling might affect VRM performance.

sounds like a mobo limitation no? this mobo might be a bit of a limitation then since it doesn't seem to have many or good vrms Also did the pc come with single channel memory?

It worked as expected, though I had already changed to dual channel earlier. It is confirmed to be supported.

You're limited to just one RAM stick plus a low-quality prebuilt board with only 55W power. This results in poor performance. Adding another RAM stick and adjusting the BIOS settings to increase the power limit can help improve things.

They mentioned having two sticks of RAM. I said those images are from a time ago; I actually have two 16GB sticks with dual channel.
