Hi everyone, I just upgraded to the RTX 5080 and noticed an odd problem. My GPU-Z and HWInfo show the Bus Interface Load at 100% even when the GPU isn’t heavily used. My system specs are pretty standard: MSI B650 MAG Tomahawk, Ryzen 7 9800X3D, Palit Gaming Pro RTX 5080, driver 572.16, 32GB NVMe SSD, 6000Mhz CL36 with two 1TB drives. I’m not seeing any performance drops or gaming issues, but the load seems excessive. The GPU-Z screenshots confirm it’s PCIe x16 5.0, which conflicts with my motherboard supporting only PCIe 4.0. I’ve tried forcing the BIOS to use PCIe 4.0, but it didn’t help. Could this be a reporting quirk or something else? I’m curious if it’s just an issue with the monitoring tools.

Noted, observed a faulty sensor reading in another YT FrameChasers video as well.

The newest buzz in tech circles claims the latest Nvidia drivers are compromised, leading to various issues. I believe it’s reasonable to include this in the list.

Big tech relies on Nvidia, media outlets depend on Nvidia, and finally it's a white-dominated market with consumers.

I tried to figure out the issue. It seems like the problem started after I rebuilt my PC a month ago. Even though I kept using my old GTX 970 on the new system for a month, everything worked fine. My current setup includes: AMD Ryzen 9800X3D, Corsair VENGEANCE DDR5 32GB, 6000MHz CL30, Expo SSD, Corsair RM850x PSU, ROG STRIX B850-A motherboard, and Windows 11.

I installed the new graphics card and GPU drivers, but the PC still shows micro stuttering and inconsistent frame rates, especially when using browsers. The GPU is recognized, but performance drops noticeably. I’ve tried reinstalling drivers, changing settings, and even disabled features like G-Sync and VRR. Still, the issue persists.

In GPU-Z, I noticed that my RTX 5070 Ti constantly reports high bus interface load even when idle. This could be the root cause, as it affects navigation in Windows. I’ve also checked BIOS settings and found that forcing PCIe Gen 5 helped a bit, but not completely.

After adjusting power management settings and waiting, I observed that the GPU now behaves much better under load. The performance issues seem linked to how the system handles PCIe bus operations, possibly due to an outdated BIOS or driver mismatch. I’m considering updating the BIOS or checking for new drivers, but I’m cautious about making changes.

It’s possible that the problem lies in driver compatibility or a BIOS limitation, rather than the GPU itself. I’ll keep monitoring and test further to pinpoint the exact cause.

I'm facing the same problem with Windows and my bus interface, it's really frustrating. I'm running at 9800x3d but using a 5080. Hopefully someone more experienced can help me out—it's super annoying!

The situation is really frustrating with lots of problems. I've had to reset everything and remove the card repeatedly. It's a messy experience. I'm really hoping Nvidia will provide better drivers soon. I feel like I've wasted my money, and now I'm spending more time checking things than playing.

Didn't manage to locate a fix. No problems encountered with Windows or during gaming sessions, so I didn't pay much attention. I've checked almost every BIOS update and nothing altered anything.

Absolutely, same here. No fix found yet, so I'm keeping it as is for now.
