Hi! It sounds like you're experiencing issues with DLSS 3 Frame Generation on your RTX 4090 when using your older 1050Ti as a secondary GPU. Since the normal upscaling works but not the frame generation, it might be related to driver compatibility or settings. You mentioned working with the GTX 1050Ti for streaming, which could help reduce strain on your main GPU. Could you try updating your drivers, adjusting DLSS settings, or using a different secondary GPU? Let me know if you'd like more specific steps!

It appears Nvidia is checking for non-Ada GPU presence and restricting access. The NVENC/NVDEC chips operate independently, using separate resources from the main GPU die that handles game rendering. This explains why task manager metrics differ when you open it.

I agree, but it still affects the performance. Here it isn't capturing and now it's recording during gameplay, which causes a massive FPS drop even when using Nvenc in OBS.

Well then you also have an issue there as it is specifically NOT supposed to do that. I'd say DDU the Nvidia driver and try with the latest new one

I wouldn't recommend dlss 3.0 because of its unusual frame design, which some older TVs used by taking two frames and filling in the gaps. It might work occasionally, but you could end up with images that seem off or unnatural.

According to the 1050 specs, DLSS isn't supported at all. It looks like recording with the primary GPU would be sufficient. The newer encoding/decoding features like AV1 are likely unnecessary.
