Hi, I own a Zotac RTX 4070 purchased brand new in July 2023. It functioned properly while I was in Dubai, but upon returning home in the Philippines, reassembly failed and the system stopped working completely—no display at all, only a faint VGA light. When I went to a technician, they suggested my Mobo X16 PCIe was damaged, though it worked fine on the second slot which supports PCIe X4. I then bought an MSI B55M Pro WiFi and it worked after assembly five months ago. The problem reappeared, and neither my RTX 4070 nor the borrowed RX580 GPU functioned. I returned my motherboard for warranty, used an older B450 board which worked on my X16 PCIe, but it stopped working again when I shut it down. After some time, the store technician tested my B550 and showed videos of GPUs like RX550 and RX6600 that do work, but they insisted on testing a GPU with an X16 PCIe lane similar to my RTX 4070—something they didn’t have. They sent my B550 back to the manufacturer for further testing. I’m confused—could it be that my GPU has an issue? But when I brought it in, the technician said it was fine.

No visible signs of harm appear on the PCIe connector of your card.

I don't have a power supply unit. Could you clarify which one you're asking about?

It could be the CPU itself not causing the display problem. If the component managing 16x PCIe on your CPU is faulty, this might occur. I suggest testing your system, GPU, and slot using a different CPU. I experienced a situation where a CPU couldn't supply data to the GPU, preventing any output despite the system running normally and being able to display with an integrated GPU.

You could check if your system is running low on power by using a spare PSU.
