I just set up my new system with the EVGA RTX 3080 Xc3 ultra, 5600x 16GB DDR4 3800C16 memory, and everything else ready. My Minecraft shader performance is still quite poor—around 15 FPS in PTGI, 30-40 in renewed and BSL. I’m running at 3440x1440 but benchmarks suggest I should be seeing double the frames. Many users have reported similar problems. I turned off V sync, allocated 8GB of RAM, but nothing has changed. The render distance is set to 12, and my GPU is pinned at 100%, yet I’m not getting solid frames. Anyone have any suggestions or fixes? I’ve got the latest drivers and Java installed.

Are the drivers current? Did you get them from NVIDIA's site? Are your connections hooked up to the GPU?

Confirmed. Updated the old drivers and added the newest versions from NVIDIA. Current release. The monitor is securely connected to the GPU. Believe it's a Minecraft problem instead of a hardware one.

The drivers could feel confused about each other, though I've never actually witnessed it.
