It seems you're referring to the 3080 graphics card. Are you experiencing any temperature concerns? Do you have proper airflow around it? How many fans are installed, and what is your PC's configuration—more intake than exhaust? What's the temperature while gaming versus when it's idle? The more RAM in the case, the more it consumes power. I'm not too concerned about these factors. I think the issue might be related to insufficient airflow.
I'm not entirely confident about the GPU setup, but when I search for GPU-Z it shows: PNY XLR8 RTX 3080 REVEL EPIC-X Triple Fan For airflow. I have three fans in front, one behind, and two on top for the cooler radiator. I don’t remember the installation order. Probably doesn't matter which fan is where right now since I'm running the case without a lid due to overheating. On two occasions while playing Squad last summer, my computer crashed and the CPU temperature reached 100°C. After rebooting it, the CPU temp dropped to 100°C, so I thought it was caused by overheating and removed the glass lid—it hasn't happened again. Those crashes also occurred with my older 2060s and RAM. The CPU has been running hot since I installed it, and I've never figured out why. I've changed the AIO paste several times using different types, but nothing changes. It sits on my hardwood floor about six inches from the nearest wall, with only a back wall nearby. In-game with low FPS on COD, it stays around 73-75°C. The pump RPM is 2700 and the coolant temperature is 38°C.
AIO could dry out. it means there is not enough water to cool your system. something else that cold be is AIR in the Pump or in the CPU block. there is a video about it how to install it the right way. I am not a pro if it comes to AIO. what I would do is buy a new CPU Cooler where I could send it back. install it check everything. if the fps problem is gone, CPU cooler something we should check is if your RAM is in Dual mode get yourself CPU-Z, you can download it for free what we are looking for is Channel# 2x64-bit DRAM Frequency is 3600/2 = 1800 MHZ mine is a little bit lower but I do not worry about that. well 95 Degrees for a CPU, is hot too hot.
I confirmed the RAM operates in dual mode via cpu-z. A new AIO is en route, so I’m really hoping it’s the final one. Currently, I have a fresh model coming soon, which makes me cautiously optimistic but also anxious since I haven’t hit throttle limits yet. I ran squad for half an hour and CPU peaked at 81°C. I tweaked graphics settings and used DX12 with Low and Medium presets—getting 70-100fps, 5-15% CPU, 50-70% GPU usage. At High and Epic settings, it dropped to 20-40fps, full GPU load, 5-15% CPU. Both stayed around 70°C during those runs. With DX11 enabled, Low and Medium kept similar temps but achieved 90-120fps. Medium and High maintained 50-60fps with 60-80% GPU usage and consistent temperatures.
