Hi, I purchased the Need Graphics 30 series and am testing it. Games such as Siege, Sea of Thieves, GTA Warzone show high CPU usage around 100% while GPU stays between 50-70% depending on graphics settings. I’m wondering if this is due to a bottleneck or a GPU issue? Also, I’m overclocking my CPU. <link removed by moderation> My specs: CPU – Intel Core i5-9600K, GPU – MSI RTX 3070 GAMING X TRIO, 8 GB RAM, 32 GB RAM, monitor, power supply, case, motherboard, cooler.

In warzone it feels like a CPU limitation, though many players report issues with this game and its CPU consumption. It looks like the developers didn’t optimize well. Still nothing surprising for a fast COD release each year. I can’t be certain since I stopped playing COD after MW3. Usually I’d say a 9600K works with a 3070, particularly if the CPU is also boosted.

It seems typical for your setup with a 3070 at 1080p. The 6C/6T i5s have generally been less appealing over time since games could exploit more threads than they originally offered, pushing them to need more threads for optimal performance—like in Battlefield 5 a few years back. For a better upgrade, consider moving to an 8700K/9700K/9900K if you can secure a good price and want to retain your board, or switch to AM4 (3600/5600X with a solid B550) or LGA1200 (10600K paired with Z490-A Pro or Prime Z490-P). In the meantime, boosting graphics settings or capping framerate could help if you notice stuttering due to CPU limits.

Are you asking if the CPU isn't powerful enough to match the GPU's capabilities?
