I could locate laptops offering reasonable costs with RTX 2070 and more recently RTX 3060. After reviewing some benchmarks, I’m still unsure which GPU is optimal. The CPU is also a factor, and the laptops I’m considering have different processors: the one with RTX 2070 features Intel Core i7-10750H, while the other has Intel Core i7-10870H. Prices seem quite alike, and both models come with nearly identical SSD drives. Which would you favor?

10750h equals 6 cores and 10870 equals 8 cores
3060 seems preferable unless it's an ultrabook (like G14), making 3060 the likely choice

Gaming, the visuals are crucial. I didn't mention that before.

when it comes to fps esports titles such as csgo or r6 siege, i recommend purchasing a laptop equipped with a mux switch or advanced optimus. make sure the product you choose includes one of these features (remember: if you plan to use the laptop screen for gaming, external monitors won't matter).

then assess the gpu's wattage — there are rtx 2070 and 3060 models with varying power consumption. choosing an rtx 3060 with a max q rating of a max p rtx 2070 will give you a significant performance advantage.

Thank you for your questions. The specifications are generally consistent, but they may not always clearly state details like "max Q" or specific GPU versions. For the RTX 2070, it's uncertain if a "max Q" model exists, and without explicit mention, we can't confirm its presence. If the specs don't reference these terms, it's safer to assume the laptop doesn't have the max Q version.

You're correct, there are options with 80w, 90w, and 100w variants.

nowadays they rarely talk about it, though a few makers still do, and some also supply the wattage. it's a bit confusing.

It's accurate. Max Q no longer exists, yet the OEM has the ability to apply power strategies, for that reason.
